Wuling Xingguang 730 New Energy星光730新能源

The Xingguang 730 New Energy is a compact seven-seat minivan that SAIC-GM-Wuling builds for the Chinese domestic market. Two kinds of powertrain are offered: some versions are fully electric, the others are plug-in hybrids carrying a combustion engine.

One body serves the whole range, whatever sits underneath its floor: 4,910 mm long, 1,850 mm wide and 1,770 mm tall. The wheelbase measures 2,910 mm, which for a minivan is the number that decides how much room is left for the third row.

Output runs from 78 to 100 kW, or 106 to 136 hp. Hybrid versions add a 1,498 cc engine and a CVT to the electric side, while the battery versions use a single-speed reduction gear. Two quite different ways of delivering drive therefore sit side by side under one name.

Battery capacity varies from 20.5 to 60 kWh, and the quoted driving range is listed separately, from 125 to 500 km. The emissions certificate is China 6.

The price list holds 4 versions, from 103,800 to 117,800 yuan; the ladder is short, so the range is fairly uniform in price. The series has been built since 2025, and 33,945 cars were sold in China over the past 12 months.
