MG 5

The MG 5 is a compact sedan for the Chinese market, in production since 2012. Built by SAIC, it is offered with internal combustion engines and front-wheel drive.

The MG 5 lineup comprises 41 versions with engines ranging from 88 to 133 kW and a displacement of 1490 to 1498 cubic centimetres. The engines are paired with CVTs, including an eight-speed unit, and dual-clutch transmissions, among them wet seven-speed variants. Drive is front-wheel only.

The sedan body measures 4675 to 4715 mm in length, 1842 mm in width, 1473 to 1480 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2680 mm. The cabin seats five. The model meets the China-6 emission standard.

Of the 41 versions, 24 fall below the 117.68 kW power threshold and 17 above it. The recommended price ranges from 67,900 to 104,900 yuan. Dealer offers start at 53,800 yuan.
