Kia Pegas焕驰

The Pegas is a subcompact sedan that Kia sells on the Chinese domestic market. The range is built around a single engine, drive goes to the front wheels, and the cabin seats five, with no alternative layout on offer.

The engine measures 1,368 cc, or 1.4 litres, and produces 70 kW, which is 95 hp; the factory code is G4LC. Emissions are certified to the China 6 standard.

All 4 versions in the price list stay below the 117.68 kW line, the equivalent of 160 hp, and nothing in the range sits above it.

The body is a three-box sedan, small by current standards: 4,300 mm long, 1,700 mm wide and 1,460 mm tall, with a wheelbase of 2,570 mm. The subcompact class in China sits a rung below compact sedans, and the car is meant first of all for city use and short trips beyond it. The versions are not separated mechanically: the engine and the driven axle are the same throughout.

Factory prices sit in a narrow band, from 64,900 to 70,900 yuan. The series has been built since 2017 and is still in production. Sales in China over the past 12 months came to 102 cars.
