Hongqi HS6 PHEV

The Hongqi HS6 PHEV is a large crossover with a plug-in hybrid drivetrain and all-wheel drive, built for the Chinese market. Sales in China over the past 12 months came to 16,122 cars.

The combustion engine is a single 1.5-litre unit and output is the same in every version at 110 kW (149 hp). That places the whole line-up on one side of the 117.68 kW (160 hp) mark: all 4 catalogue versions stay below the line and none is above it.

Differences between versions come from the traction battery, whose capacity moves from 23 to 40 kWh. The claimed electric-only range also varies, from 148 to 248 km.

The body is shared by the whole series: 4,925 mm long, 1,970 mm wide and 1,740 mm tall, with a 2,925 mm wheelbase. The cabin seats 5, and the catalogue lists no version with a different seat count.

Factory prices run from 178,800 to 228,800 yuan, a noticeable step between the ends of the range even though the engine never changes. The emission rating is China 6, and the series has been in production since 2026.
