Changan Qiyuan A05 ClassicA05经典

A plug-in hybrid in a compact saloon body: in the A05 Classic a combustion engine works alongside an electric motor, and the battery charges from the mains. The brand is Changan Qiyuan and assembly is by Changan Nevo.

Production ran from 2024 to 2025, so the series is already closed.

One body serves the whole range: 4785 mm long, 1840 mm wide, 1460 mm tall, with a 2765 mm wheelbase and seating for 5.

The combustion engine varies slightly in size between versions, from 1493 to 1497 cc, with output of 72 to 81 kW (98 to 110 hp). Drive goes through a CVT, and the emission standard is China 6. Battery capacity was offered from 9.1 to 19 kWh, while quoted range runs from 70 to 145 km. All 17 versions sit below the 117.68 kW mark.

Factory prices cover a wide spread, from 78,900 to 136,900 yuan. With one body and one type of transmission across the line-up, the choice inside the series came down mainly to output and battery size.

Sales in China over the past 12 months came to 3,005 cars.
