Zhidou Caihong彩虹

The Zhidou Caihong is an electric microcar with a sedan body, made for the Chinese domestic market. Over the past 12 months 3,419 cars from the series found buyers there.

Dimensions do not change from version to version: 3,224 mm long, 1,515 mm wide, 1,630 mm tall, on a 2,100 mm wheelbase. The cabin is laid out for 4 occupants, and no other seating arrangement is offered.

Drive goes to the rear wheels only, from a rear-mounted motor through a single-speed reduction gear; there is no multi-ratio transmission. Output is modest, from 20 kW (27 hp) to 30 kW (41 hp), and all 11 versions stay below the 58.84 kW mark.

Battery packs hold 10 to 24 kWh, and the quoted range is 125 to 282 km. The gap between the lowest and the highest version is wide: the series covers both very short urban trips and noticeably longer ones.

Factory prices start at 31,900 yuan and reach 60,900 yuan, a corridor that holds every version of the series. The series has been in production since 2024 and remains there.
