Xpeng G6

The Xpeng G6 is a mid-size crossover built for the Chinese market and in production since 2023. Over the past 12 months 31,037 cars of the series were sold in China.

The range runs to 12 versions, with output rising from 218 to 358 kW, roughly 296 to 487 hp. There is no conventional gearbox: a single-speed reduction gear takes the drive. Some versions are rear-driven with the motor at the back, others add a second motor and send power to both axles. The 58.84 kW mark, the equivalent of 80 hp, is left far behind, with none of the 12 versions below it.

Two kinds of powertrain sit side by side in the series. Some cars are purely electric; others are extended-range versions carrying an engine of 1,499 cc, about 1.5 litres, quoted to the China 6 emission standard. Battery capacity moves from 66 to 87.5 kWh and claimed range from 430 to 755 km.

The body barely changes between versions: 4,753 to 4,771 mm long, 1,920 mm wide and 1,650 mm tall, on a 2,890 mm wheelbase, with seating for 5. Factory prices start at 176,800 yuan and reach 276,900 yuan.
