Wuling Zhi Guang New Energy之光新能源

Zhi Guang New Energy is a Wuling minivan that runs on electricity alone. Assembly is handled by SAIC-GM-Wuling, and the car is meant for buyers on the domestic Chinese market.

A single motor covers the range: 30 kW, or about 41 hp. It is mounted at the rear and drives the rear wheels through a single-speed reduction gear. Output does not change from one version to the next, so the choice between them is not made on the motor.

The difference lies in stored energy: battery capacity is quoted from 17.7 to 30.6 kWh and claimed range from 201 to 305 km. All 3 versions share one very small body — 3,685 mm long, 1,530 mm wide, on a 2,600 mm wheelbase, with height listed between 1,750 and 1,765 mm. Seating is for 4.

Factory prices start at 47,800 yuan and reach 57,800, a short span for a short car. The series has been in production since 2025, and Chinese sales over 12 months came to 25,283 cars. The power line for electrically driven cars is drawn at 58.84 kW, and all 3 versions stay below it.
