Wuling Starlight S星光S

Starlight S is a compact-class crossover assembled by SAIC-GM-Wuling for the Chinese domestic market. The range is electrified throughout: part of it runs on battery alone, the rest are plug-in hybrids with a combustion engine on board.

The body measures 4,745 mm in length and 1,890 mm in width, stands 1,680 or 1,685 mm tall and rides on a 2,800 mm wheelbase. Height is the only exterior dimension that changes from version to version. The cabin seats 5.

Output covers 78 to 150 kW, or 106 to 204 hp. The hybrid half of the range adds a 1,498 cc engine and a CVT; the battery versions use a single-speed reduction gear. That pairing is what the choice inside the range rests on: some cars do without an engine altogether, the others carry both an engine and a battery.

Batteries hold 9.5 to 60 kWh, and quoted driving range is listed separately, from 60 to 510 km. The emissions certificate is China 6.

The price list holds 11 versions, from 99,800 to 129,800 yuan. The series has been built since 2024, and 8,417 cars were sold in China over the past 12 months.
