The Volvo XC70 PHEV is a large plug-in hybrid crossover aimed at the Chinese market, where it has been on sale since 2026. Over the past 12 months 30,281 cars of the series were sold in China.

Mechanically the 6 versions are identical: a combustion engine of 1499 cc, roughly 1.5 litres, rated at 115 kW, which converts to 156 hp. Drive goes to all four wheels, and the emission standard is listed as China 6.

What separates one version from another sits on the electric side. Battery capacity varies from 21.2 to 39.6 kWh, while the declared electric range is quoted between 116 and 212 km. Those two figures carry the whole spread of the range; the engine and its output stay the same throughout.

There is a single body shape: 4815 mm long, 1890 mm wide and 1650 mm tall, on a wheelbase of 2895 mm. The cabin seats 5, and no estate or utility variant appears in the price list.

Factory prices run from 411,900 to 496,900 yuan. Measured against the 117.68 kW mark, or 160 hp, the line stays entirely on the lower side: all 6 versions fall under it and none rises above.
