The Volvo XC40 is a compact premium crossover and the brand's first model on the modular CMA platform developed jointly with Geely. For the Chinese market the car is assembled locally by the Volvo Asia Pacific division at the Taizhou plant, so this is a China-built rather than imported version. Our stock features petrol T4 versions with a 2.0T engine of 190 hp (140 kW), AWD all-wheel drive and an 8-speed Aisin automatic. The model comes standard with the City Safety system and the Pilot Assist semi-autonomous driving suite (Level 2 ADAS). Cars in our range belong to the 2020–2022 model years. The 190 hp output exceeds the 160 hp threshold, so the reduced 'personal-use' recycling-fee rate for an individual does not apply to these versions.
