The ID.4 CROZZ is an electric compact crossover built by FAW-VW for the Chinese domestic market. Sales of the series in China over the past 12 months came to 12,122 cars.
The price list is a long one, 29 versions, and they differ on several counts at once. Output ranges from 125 to 230 kW, that is 170 to 313 hp. Drive goes either to the rear wheels, with the motor at the back of the car, or to all four, with two electric motors. There is no conventional gearbox: a single-speed reduction gear passes the torque along.
Traction batteries run from 54.3 to 84.8 kWh, and quoted range from 400 to 601 km. Both spans are read off the extreme points of the line-up and belong to different versions.
The body, by contrast, is common to the whole series: 4,592 mm long, 1,852 mm wide and 1,629 mm tall, on a wheelbase of 2,765 mm. Seating is for 5. The wheelbase is long relative to the overall length, so the overhangs stay short.
Factory prices are spread wide, from 149,900 to 293,900 yuan. The series has been built since 2021 and remains in production. Against the 58.84 kW mark, that is 80 hp, all 29 versions sit above the line.
