The 2021 Toyota Corolla (卡罗拉) is a compact C-class sedan of the E210 generation built by 一汽丰田 (FAW Toyota), one of the highest-volume and most reliable bestsellers on the Chinese market. The 1.2T version has a 9NR-FTS turbo engine of 1.2 litres with 116 hp (85 kW) and 185 Nm, paired with the Direct Shift-CVT continuously variable transmission (with 10 simulated ratios) and front-wheel drive; declared consumption is about 5.6 L/100 km. The car is built on the TNGA (GA-C) platform with independent rear suspension and is aimed at buyers who value economy, low running costs and durability rather than performance. Chinese specifics: the entire 1.2T range in China comes with the Toyota Safety Sense active-safety system from the affordable trims onward; the model has a twin, the Levin (雷凌) from GAC Toyota on the same platform with different styling, using the same 1.2T engine, as well as a 1.8 hybrid version (双擎), which is not in our stock. For the Russian recycling-fee relief the model qualifies comfortably: 116 hp is well below the 160 hp threshold.
