Toyota bZ5

The bZ5 is an electric mid-size crossover built by FAW Toyota for the Chinese domestic market. Sales of the series in China over the past 12 months came to 15,471 cars.

Output is identical across the range at 200 kW, or 272 hp, driving the front wheels through a single-speed reduction gear rather than a conventional gearbox. What separates one version from another is therefore the traction battery and the quoted driving range: capacity runs from 65.3 to 74 kWh, range from 550 to 630 km, each figure taken from opposite ends of the price list.

The body is the same for every version: 4,780 mm long, 1,866 mm wide and 1,510 mm tall, on a 2,880 mm wheelbase. Seating is for 5. The wheelbase is long against the overall length, which leaves short overhangs and puts most of the footprint at the service of the cabin.

Factory prices for the 11 versions run from 129,800 to 209,800 yuan. The series has been built since 2025 and remains in production.

Against the 58.84 kW mark, that is 80 hp, the whole range sits on the upper side; nothing in the price list falls below it.
