Toyota Vellfire威尔法

The Vellfire is a large minivan sold in China under the Japanese Toyota badge in hybrid form, its combustion engine working alongside an electric side that needs no plugging in.

Output varies widely across the line-up, from 86 to 140 kW, roughly 116 to 190 hp, while displacement barely moves: 2,487 or 2,494 cc, about 2.5 litres. Every version uses a CVT and drives all four wheels.

The body changes little from one version to the next: length from 4,975 to 5,005 mm on a constant width of 1,850 mm, height of 1,945 or 1,950 mm, and a 3,000 mm wheelbase. Seating is for 7, and cars of this sort are usually bought in China with the second row in mind rather than the driver's seat.

The series has been in production since 2019. Factory prices are high even by large-minivan standards, from 819,000 to 929,000 yuan, and emissions meet the China 6 standard.

The 117.68 kW mark cuts the range almost in half, which makes the individual version worth checking rather than the series as a whole: 9 of the 13 sit below the line and the remaining 4 above it.
