Tesla Model Y

The Model Y is a mid-size battery-electric crossover from an American marque, with 420,751 units sold in China over 12 months. Every version seats five.

The body is clearly larger than a compact crossover: length 4,750 to 4,797 mm, width 1,920 or 1,921 mm, height 1,611 to 1,624 mm, wheelbase 2,890 mm.

Output runs from 194 to 467 kW, roughly 264 to 635 hp. No version has a conventional gearbox, as drive goes through a single-speed reduction gear, and the layout is either rear-wheel drive with the motor at the back or all-wheel drive on two electric motors.

Battery capacity is 60 to 78.4 kWh and the quoted range 525 to 821 km. The price list holds 31 entries from 249,900 to 417,900 yuan, and the car has been built since 2021. The 58.84 kW threshold, about 80 hp, does not split the family: all 31 versions stay above it. The choice within the range comes down to layout, battery size and quoted range.
