The Tank 700 New Energy is a large SUV from Great Wall, built since 2024 for the Chinese market. All of it is plug-in hybrid, yet the hardware varies noticeably from one end of the range to the other.
Two combustion engines appear in the line-up: 1,998 cc, or 2.0 litres, and 2,993 cc, about 3.0 litres. Output falls between 185 and 265 kW, roughly 252 to 360 hp. Every version drives all four wheels through a 9-speed automatic gearbox. Emissions are certified to the China 6 standard.
The traction battery ranges from 37.1 to 59.1 kWh, while the quoted electric range sits in a narrow band of 95 to 100 km.
The body changes visibly between versions: 5,090 to 5,110 mm long, 2,061 to 2,122 mm wide and 1,952 to 1,986 mm tall. The wheelbase, by contrast, is the same throughout at 3,000 mm, and seating is for five.
The price list runs to 6 versions and spreads very widely, from 428,000 to 700,000 yuan. A gap that large inside one model line reflects the different engines as much as the equipment. All versions are rated above the 117.68 kW mark, none below. Chinese sales over the past 12 months came to 10,569 cars.
