The Subaru Forester (森林人) of the SK generation is a compact C-class crossover for those who value reliability, off-road ability and active safety rather than a premium image. Its main features are the signature horizontally opposed ('boxer') naturally aspirated 2.0L engine (FB20, 113 kW / 154 hp, 196 Nm) with a Lineartronic CVT and the Symmetrical AWD permanent all-wheel-drive system, standard on all versions. EyeSight trims are equipped with a stereo-camera active-safety suite: adaptive cruise control, autonomous braking, lane keeping and blind-spot monitoring. Chinese specifics: the 2022款 line-up in China came specifically with the 2.0L (whereas in the US the same generation used the 2.5L FB25 with ~182 hp); Subaru did not leave the Chinese market either — in September 2023 the 2.5L version (124 kW / 169 hp) returned to the market, while our stock is the pure petrol 2.0i. With 154 hp (≤160) the car qualifies for Russia's reduced recycling-fee rate for an individual importing for personal use, though the margin is minimal — just 6 hp below the threshold.
