Stelato S9

The Stelato S9 is a large executive sedan sold on the Chinese market in two energy forms, battery-electric and series hybrid. Domestic sales over 12 months came to 12,945 units.

Output runs from 227 to 385 kW, roughly 309 to 523 hp. Series-hybrid versions carry a combustion engine of 1,498 cc, about 1.5 litres, rated to the China 6 emission standard. No version uses a conventional gearbox; drive goes through a single-speed reduction gear, with either rear-wheel drive and the motor at the back or all-wheel drive on two electric motors.

Battery capacity spans 37 to 100 kWh and the quoted range 256 to 816 km. The dimensions are typical of the class: length 5,160 mm, wheelbase 3,050 mm, width 1,987 to 2,005 mm, height 1,486 to 1,492 mm, with five seats.

The price list holds 18 entries from 309,800 to 449,800 yuan, and the car has been built since 2024. The 58.84 kW threshold, about 80 hp, does not divide the family: all 18 versions sit well above it. What separates them is the energy form, battery size, layout and quoted range.
