ROX 01

The ROX 01 is a large SUV from a Chinese marque, produced from 2023 through 2024. Every version is a range-extender design: the wheels are turned by electric motors, while the combustion engine on board works as a generator.

The powertrain is the same across the range: 350 kW of electric output, about 476 hp, alongside a generator engine of 1,496 cc, roughly 1.5 litres. Both axles are driven, all-wheel drive coming from two electric motors, and there is no conventional gearbox — a single-speed reduction gear does the job. Emissions are certified to the China 6 standard.

Battery capacity varies from 44.5 to 58.4 kWh, while the quoted electric range runs between 215 and 306 km.

The body is long even by large-SUV standards: 5,050 mm overall, 1,980 mm wide and 1,869 mm tall, on a 3,010 mm wheelbase. Two cabin layouts are listed, one with 6 seats and one with 7, so the same vehicle serves either family or shuttle duty.

The price list runs to 6 versions, at factory prices between 299,900 and 359,900 yuan. All of them are rated above the 58.84 kW mark, with nothing below it. Chinese sales over the past 12 months totalled 13,932 cars.
