Roewe i6 MAX New Energy is a compact-class saloon from SAIC, sold on the domestic Chinese market. Fully electric versions and plug-in hybrids share a single series here.

An internal combustion engine of 1,490 cc, about 1.5 litres, appears only on the versions that pair it with an electric drive. Output across the list runs from 120 to 135 kW, that is 163 to 184 hp. Two transmissions are used: a single-speed reduction gear and a 10-speed automated manual gearbox. Drive goes to the front wheels, and emissions are certified to the China 6 standard.

Traction batteries range from 50.3 to 69.9 kWh, while the quoted range spans a very wide corridor, from 70 to 605 km. The two ends of that corridor belong to different kinds of powertrain gathered into one price list.

The body barely moves: 4,722 or 4,724 mm long, 1,835 mm wide, 1,465 to 1,493 mm tall, on a wheelbase of 2,715 mm, seating 5.

Factory prices are spread wide, from 136,800 to 259,800 yuan across 16 versions, a large gap between the ends of a single price list. The model has been built since 2020 and remains in production; sales in China over the past 12 months came to 3,062 cars.
