The D7 is a mid-size sedan built by SAIC for the Chinese domestic market. The family comes in two energy forms, battery-electric and plug-in hybrid, and 9,883 cars were sold in China over 12 months.
Output across the family runs from 82 to 155 kW, roughly 111 to 211 hp. Plug-in hybrid versions pair the electric side with a combustion engine of 1,498 cc, about 1.5 litres, rated to the China 6 emission standard. There is no conventional gearbox on any version: drive goes through a single-speed reduction gear. Two layouts are offered, rear-wheel drive with the motor at the back and front-wheel drive.
Battery capacity is where the versions differ most, from 19.7 to 68.5 kWh, while the quoted range spans 125 to 610 km. One body serves the whole line: 4,890 mm long, 1,510 mm tall, with a 2,810 mm wheelbase and a width of either 1,872 or 1,890 mm depending on the version. Every car seats five.
Factory prices sit between 123,800 and 219,800 yuan across a price list of 18 entries, and the series has been built since 2023. In output terms the line falls on both sides of the threshold: 10 versions stay below it and 8 sit above, so the individual version matters more than the model name.
