The Porsche Cayenne, a large crossover, has been on Chinese price lists since 2006 and remains there today. No electric version exists in the series: every one of them carries an internal combustion engine.
The spread inside the range is very wide. Displacement runs from 2,894 to 3,996 cc, roughly 2.9 to 4.0 litres, and output from 250 to 485 kW, or 340 to 659 hp. The list holds 29 versions, and the engine is the first thing that separates them.
The transmission, by contrast, never varies: an 8-speed automatic. Drive is to all four wheels throughout, with no front-wheel-drive option, and emissions are certified to the China 6 standard.
Every body dimension moves except the wheelbase: length from 4,918 to 4,942 mm, width from 1,983 to 1,995 mm, height from 1,636 to 1,698 mm, while the wheelbase stays at 2,895 mm. Depending on the version the cabin seats 4 or 5.
Factory prices start at 918,000 yuan and reach 2,508,000, a very wide corridor for a single series. Measured by output, the whole range sits above the 117.68 kW line, the equivalent of 160 hp: 29 versions out of 29.
