ORA 5

The ORA 5 is a compact crossover assembled by Great Wall for the domestic Chinese market. Two kinds of powertrain share the range: some versions are hybrids, the rest rely on an internal combustion engine alone.

Displacement is the same everywhere at 1,499 cc, close to 1.5 litres, but output is not: it runs from 115 to 135 kW, or 156 to 184 hp. The gearbox never changes either, a 7-speed wet dual-clutch transmission. Emissions are certified to the China 6 standard.

One body serves the whole range: 4,471 mm long, 1,833 mm wide and 1,641 mm tall, on a wheelbase of 2,720 mm, with seating for 5. The price list offers no alternative dimensions.

Factory prices sit in a narrow corridor, from 79,800 to 99,800 yuan across 6 versions. The series is new: built since 2026 and still in production, with 4,591 sales in China over the past 12 months.

The 117.68 kW line, the equivalent of 160 hp, runs straight through the middle of the range: 3 versions stay below it and 3 rise above. Picking a version by output here also means picking a side of that line.
