The ES9 is a large battery-electric SUV built by the Chinese brand NIO for its home market. It is a recent addition to the line-up and is currently in production.
The powertrain is identical across all 6 versions: 520 kW, about 707 hp, from two electric motors, all-wheel drive and a single-speed reduction gear. There is no output spread inside the line at all: every version is quoted the same way, so pulling power is not what a buyer chooses between.
One battery serves the whole series, 102 kWh, and quoted range runs from 600 to 620 km. The car is big: 5,365 mm long, 2,029 mm wide, 1,870 mm tall, on a 3,250 mm wheelbase. The cabin seats 6, which is what sets it apart from five-seat crossovers of comparable length.
The ES9 has been built since 2026, with factory prices between 498,000 and 628,000 yuan. Chinese sales over the past 12 months came to 18,014 cars.
