The MG 4X is a compact battery-electric crossover built by SAIC for the Chinese market. The badge is European in origin, yet both the production and the sales of this series sit in China.
All four versions are rear-driven, with the motor at the back and a single-speed reduction gear. Output runs from 125 to 150 kW, roughly 170 to 204 hp — two steps within the line, with the same layout on both of them.
Battery capacity spans 53.9 to 64.2 kWh and quoted range 510 to 610 km. The body is shared across the line: 4,500 mm long, 1,849 mm wide, 1,621 to 1,627 mm tall, on a 2,735 mm wheelbase, with five seats.
List prices open at 99,800 yuan and top out at 116,800 yuan, which for an electric crossover is the lower end of the Chinese price list. The series has been built since 2026, and Chinese sales over the past 12 months came to 8,017 cars.
