For the Chinese market the model is built by the Beijing-Benz joint venture (北京奔驰) in the long-wheelbase GLC L version with an extended wheelbase and additional rear-passenger space. Our stock features the X253 (2016-2022) and X254 (from 2023) generations with 2.0-litre petrol turbo engines of 184-258 hp and 4MATIC all-wheel drive. The transmission is the 9-speed 9G-TRONIC automatic; the range includes the GLC 260 L and GLC 300 L versions. For Russia, note that even the entry-level version develops 184 hp, so the reduced recycling-fee rate for an individual (160 hp threshold) does not apply to these cars.
