Mazda EZ-6

The Mazda EZ-6 is a mid-size saloon assembled by Changan Mazda for the Chinese domestic market. It comes both as a pure battery car and as a series hybrid, so the first decision a buyer makes concerns the powertrain type.

Every version shares one body: 4,921 mm long, 1,890 mm wide and 1,485 mm tall, on a 2,895 mm wheelbase. Cabins seat 5. No multi-speed gearbox is used, and drive reaches the rear wheels through a single-speed reducer.

Motors differ little across the range, from 160 kW, about 218 hp, to 190 kW, roughly 258 hp, and all 22 versions of the price list stand above the 58.84 kW threshold. Hybrid cars add a 1,480 cc combustion engine, about 1.5 litres, certified to the China 6 standard.

Batteries vary far more than motors do, from 18.9 to 68.8 kWh, with quoted range from 130 to 600 km. Battery cars and hybrids share one body and one drive layout, and what sets them apart is the energy carried on board. Factory prices run from 119,800 to 181,800 yuan. The EZ-6 has been built since 2024, and Chinese sales over 12 months came to 20,630 cars.
