Li Auto L7

The L7 is a large five-seat crossover that Li Auto built for the Chinese domestic market between 2023 and 2025. It runs on electric drive, with an onboard combustion engine added as a range extender.

Output never moved through the price list: 330 kW, or 449 hp, on all 9 versions. Drive is to both axles, shared by two electric motors, and the transmission is a single-speed reduction gear. The combustion engine is also common to the whole series, 1,496 cc or about 1.5 litres, and the emission standard is China 6.

The choice inside the range came down to stored energy. Battery capacity ran from 40.9 to 52.3 kWh, and the claimed electric range from 210 to 286 km.

One body serves every version: 5,050 mm long, 1,995 mm wide, 1,750 mm tall, on a wheelbase of 3,005 mm. Nothing here moves between versions — neither the length nor the wheelbase.

Prices are spread far wider than the hardware, from 301,800 to 379,800 yuan, and what lifts them is clearly not output, which is the same everywhere. Sales in China over the past 12 months came to 40,550 cars.
