The Lexus UX New Energy is a compact battery-electric crossover from the Japanese brand. On the Chinese market the series appeared as just two versions, each with seating for 5.
Mechanically the two versions are identical. The electric motor is rated at 150 kW, or 204 hp, and drives through a single-speed reduction gear, so there is no shifting of gears. Whatever separates the versions, it is not the powertrain: both make the same output and both clear the 58.84 kW mark comfortably, that is, well over 80 hp.
The battery is quoted at 54.4 kWh and the stated driving range at 400 km, and neither figure differs between the two, nor does the body: the series kept a single set of dimensions.
The body is genuinely compact — 4495 mm long, 1840 mm wide and 1545 mm tall, on a wheelbase of 2640 mm. Factory prices at the time ran from 362,000 to 385,000 yuan. The series was built in 2020.
