Lexus LX

The Lexus LX is a large SUV from the Japanese brand, sold on the Chinese market as a hybrid only. The range is narrow — five versions — and what sets them apart is not the mechanical package.

The drivetrain is shared by all of them: an engine of 3,445 cc, about 3.4 litres, rated at 300 kW, which comes to 408 hp. Drive goes to all four wheels through an automatic of 10 ratios, and the China 6 emission standard is quoted. The 117.68 kW mark is left far behind — all five versions are well beyond the 160 hp it corresponds to.

The cabin comes in two layouts, with four seats or with seven, and the wheelbase is the same either way, so the seating difference is resolved inside an unchanged body shell. The exterior hardly changes: 5115 mm long, 1990 mm wide, on a 2850 mm wheelbase, with height between 1885 and 1895 mm.

Factory prices start at 1,250,000 yuan and reach 1,550,000 yuan. The model has been built since 2004 and remains in production.
