Leapmotor T03

The Leapmotor T03 is a four-seat electric city car sold on the Chinese domestic market. Nothing in the range uses a combustion engine, so what separates one version from another is motor output and the amount of energy carried on board.
The body is shared across the whole range and genuinely small: 3,620 mm long, 1,652 mm wide, on a 2,400 mm wheelbase. Height differs slightly between versions, from 1,577 to 1,605 mm. No multi-speed gearbox is fitted, and drive goes through a single-speed reducer instead.
Output runs from 40 kW, about 54 hp, up to 80 kW, roughly 109 hp. That is exactly what places the line-up on either side of the 58.84 kW threshold: 20 versions stay below it and 11 sit above. Battery capacity ranges from 21.6 to 41.3 kWh and quoted range from 200 to 403 km, so the gap between entry and top cars is far wider in energy than it is in size.
The factory price list is long for a car this small: 31 versions, from 49,900 to 99,800 yuan. The T03 has been built since 2020, and Chinese sales over 12 months came to 18,244 cars.
