Leapmotor C10

The Leapmotor C10 is a mid-size crossover with seating for five, built by the Chinese brand for its domestic market. Demand there is solid: 132,056 cars of the series were sold over the past 12 months.

The range holds 16 trim levels and the spread between them is wide. Output runs from 170 to 230 kW, or 231 to 313 hp, and every version uses a single-speed reduction gear rather than a conventional gearbox, with drive going to the rear axle and the motor sitting there as well. The 58.84 kW mark, the equivalent of 80 hp, is far behind: all 16 versions sit above it.

Two kinds of powertrain sit side by side. Some cars are purely electric, others are extended-range versions carrying an engine of 1,499 cc, roughly 1.5 litres, quoted to the China 6 emission standard. Battery capacity varies a great deal across the line, from 28.4 to 81.9 kWh, while the quoted driving range spans 210 to 660 km.

The body barely changes between versions: 4739 to 4749 mm long, 1900 mm wide, 1680 mm tall, on a wheelbase of 2825 mm. Factory prices start at 122,800 yuan and reach 168,800 yuan. The series has been in production since 2024.
