Leapmotor B01

The B01 is an electric compact-class sedan from Leapmotor, built for the Chinese domestic market. Drive goes to the rear axle from a rear-mounted motor, and a single-speed reducer stands in for a gearbox.

The range is a long one — 12 versions, and they differ mechanically by a wide margin. Output runs from 100 kW, that is 136 hp, to 185 kW, or 251 hp; the traction battery ranges from 43.9 to 69.7 kWh, and the quoted range from 430 to 670 km.

One body serves the whole range: 4,770 mm long, 1,880 mm wide and 1,490 mm tall, on a wheelbase of 2,735 mm, with seating for five. That is a long car for the compact class, and a fairly generous wheelbase for its length. Moving up the range changes the motor, the battery and the quoted range, while the body and the seat count stay the same.

Factory prices run from 89,800 to 149,700 yuan, a wide gap between the ends of a single price list. The B01 has been built since 2025 and remains in production. Sales in China over the past 12 months came to 86,132 cars.

All 12 versions sit above the 58.84 kW line, the equivalent of 80 hp, and none of them falls below it.
