The Land Rover Discovery is a full-size off-roader with permanent all-wheel drive, the Terrain Response system and a seven-seat cabin; it is imported into Russia because the large Discovery is not officially built in China. Our stock features two generations: the Discovery 4 (L319, 2011–2016) with an integrated body-frame construction and the Discovery 5 (L462, 2017–2021) on a lightweight aluminium platform. The engine range covers the 3.0 SDV6 turbodiesel (292 hp), the 3.0 SC V6 supercharged petrol (340 hp), the 3.0 inline-six mild-hybrid P360 (360 hp) and the naturally aspirated 5.0 V8 (375 hp); all versions are all-wheel drive and mated to an 8-speed ZF automatic. The model is built for a combination of off-road capability, towing potential and long-distance comfort. For Russia, note that all Discovery versions in stock are more powerful than 160 hp, so the reduced recycling fee for an individual does not apply — the calculation uses the commercial rate.
