iCAR V27

The iCAR V27 is a large range-extender crossover built by Chery New Energy. It was developed for the Chinese market, where 14,304 cars were sold over the past 12 months.

The electric motors are rated from 185 to 335 kW, roughly 252 to 455 hp. Working alongside them is a 1,499 cc combustion engine, about 1.5 litres, rated to the China 6 emission standard.

Drive goes either to the rear axle through a rear-mounted motor or to all four wheels through two electric motors, and a single-speed reduction gear is the only transmission on offer. The battery is the same on every version at 34.3 kWh, with a quoted range of 200 to 210 km.

The body measures 5,055 mm long, 1,976 mm wide and 1,894 mm tall on a 2,910 mm wheelbase, and seats five. Factory prices sit in a narrow band, 169,800 to 196,800 yuan. The car has been built since 2026, and all three versions are above the 58.84 kW threshold by output. The gap between them comes down to motor output and drive layout; body, battery and quoted range are shared.
