The Hyundai Elantra (Chinese 伊兰特) of the CN7 generation is a compact C-class sedan from the Korean brand, assembled in China by the Beijing Hyundai joint venture. The car is aimed at the practical city buyer and family: an expressive 'parametric' body design, a length of about 4680 mm and a 2720 mm wheelbase provide a cabin that is spacious for the class and a 474 L trunk. Two petrol engines are offered in China: a naturally aspirated 1.5L (115 hp, 144 Nm) with a CVT — the most common and economical (rated consumption about 5.4 L/100 km on the Chinese NEDC cycle) — and a 1.4T turbo engine (140 hp, 211 Nm) with a 7-speed DCT. This is a front-wheel-drive sedan with no all-wheel-drive or diesel versions; earlier generations (悦动, 朗动, 领动) were also sold in China under the 伊兰特 name over the years, but our 2022 stock is specifically the current CN7. Our stock example is the range-topping 1.5L CVT LUX trim (尊贵版). Important for Russia: both engines are no more than 160 hp, so the model qualifies for the reduced recycling-fee rate for an individual importing for personal use.
