Hongqi HS3

The Hongqi HS3 is a compact crossover for the Chinese market, offered both with a plain combustion engine and in hybrid form. Sales in China over the past 12 months came to 11,720 cars.

The engine line splits by displacement, 1.5 and 2.0 litres, with output running from 124 kW (168 hp) to 185 kW (251 hp). Two transmissions were offered, an 8-speed automatic and a 7-speed wet dual-clutch transmission, and drive could go to the front wheels or to all four, so the spread of specifications inside one series was broad.

Hybrid versions carry a 1.8 kWh traction battery. The body is shared across the range: 4,655 mm long, 1,900 mm wide and 1,668 mm tall, with a 2,770 mm wheelbase. Every version seats 5, and no other cabin layout is listed.

Factory prices ran from 145,800 to 195,800 yuan, a corridor that covered both drivetrain types, and the emission rating is China 6. The series was built from 2023 to 2025. On output it lies entirely above the 117.68 kW (160 hp) mark: none of the 11 catalogue versions falls below it.
