The E-QM5 is a mid-size electric sedan from Hongqi. On the Chinese market it is a genuinely high-volume car: 51,747 units were sold there over the past 12 months.
Output is held to a narrow band, from 100 to 140 kW, or roughly 136 to 190 hp. Drive is to the front wheels, and every version uses the same single-speed reduction gear. There is no all-wheel-drive option, and no transmission choice either.
Batteries range from 54 to 82 kWh and the quoted range from 431 to 620 km. The body does not change: 5,040 mm long, 1,910 mm wide and 1,569 mm tall, on a 2,990 mm wheelbase. Cabins come with either four or five seats. Length and wheelbase are identical on every trim, so the choice within the series is about the energy pack and the seat count rather than about size.
The price spread is wide for a single series, from 89,800 to 239,800 yuan. The sedan has been built since 2021 and remains in production. All 35 versions are above the 58.84 kW threshold by output; not one of them, the cheapest included, falls below that line.
