The Honda XR-V is a subcompact urban B-class crossover produced by the Dongfeng Honda joint venture exclusively for the Chinese market (its global equivalent is the Honda HR-V/Vezel). The generation in our stock (launched 28.08.2022, 2023 versions) is offered only with a naturally aspirated 1.5L gasoline engine (L15CE) rated at 124 hp (91 kW) / 145 Nm, paired with a CVT and front-wheel drive; the 1.5T turbo version was dropped in the new generation. Dimensions are compact: 4380x1790x1590 mm with a 2610 mm wheelbase, 5 seats, a 40 L tank and WLTC-cycle consumption of about 6.4 L/100 km. Among the pluses are Honda's signature reliability, economy, a simple turbo-free design and the transformable Honda Magic Seats; the minuses are front-wheel drive only and the modest performance of the naturally aspirated engine. Chinese specifics: the starting price at launch was 13.29-15.29万 yuan, but from October 2023 the 2024款 lineup was re-priced into the 11.99-13.99万 range (the base 热力版 at 11.99万). With 124 hp the XR-V comfortably passes the Russian recycling-fee relief for private individuals importing "for personal use" (the 160 hp threshold for ICE) with a large margin.
