Haval Xiaolong MAX枭龙MAX

The Xiaolong MAX is a mid-size crossover sold under the Haval badge and assembled by Great Wall. It uses a plug-in hybrid powertrain with all-wheel drive and is intended for the Chinese domestic market.

The price list holds 8 versions. The combustion engine is the same in each of them, 1,498 cc or about 1.5 litres, quoted at 85 kW, roughly 116 hp. Emissions certification is to the China 6 standard.

What separates one version from another is the battery, quoted between 18.7 and 27.5 kWh. Claimed electric range covers 105 to 165 km.

The body changes only in details from version to version: 4,758 or 4,780 mm long, on a wheelbase of 2,800 or 2,810 mm, while the width of 1,895 mm and the height of 1,725 mm are common to all. Seating is for 5.

Factory prices run from 131,800 to 179,800 yuan, and the crossover has been built since 2023. Sales in China over the past 12 months came to 15,343 cars. On output the whole range sits below the 117.68 kW mark, the figure that corresponds to 160 hp: 8 versions out of 8, with nothing above the line.
