Haval H5

The H5 is a large Haval off-roader built by Great Wall. The price list offers both rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive versions; sales in China over the past 12 months came to 6,413 cars.

The range is made up of 13 versions built around two combustion engines of similar size, 1,967 and 1,996 cc, both close to 2.0 litres. Quoted output runs from 122 to 165 kW, roughly 166 to 224 hp: the two engines are almost the same size, yet the stated outputs are far apart. A single transmission serves the whole series, an 8-speed automatic.

The body is a big one: 5,190 mm long, 1,905 mm wide, and either 1,835 or 1,864 mm tall depending on the version. The wheelbase of 3,140 mm takes up most of that length. Seating is for 5.

Factory prices run from 122,800 to 192,800 yuan. The car has been built since 2023 and remains in production. Emissions certification across the range is to the China 6 standard.

On output the entire series sits above the 117.68 kW mark, the figure that corresponds to 160 hp: 13 versions out of 13, with nothing below the line.
