Firefly is a small-class passenger car built by NIO for buyers in China. No combustion version is offered anywhere in the range, and what separates one trim from another is chiefly the power output.

Output moves within a narrow band, 105 to 120 kW, or roughly 142 to 163 hp. There is no multi-speed gearbox: a single-speed reducer sits in its place, which means no gear changes on the move, and drive goes to the rear wheels.

The battery is the same in every version at 42.1 kWh, and quoted range is likewise given as a single figure, 420 km. Mechanically the trims are therefore close to one another, with only output telling them apart. The body is a compact saloon, 4,003 mm long, 1,781 mm wide and 1,557 mm tall, on a 2,615 mm wheelbase, and the cabin seats 5.

The price list runs to 10 versions, from 119,800 to 137,800 yuan. The car has been built since 2025, and Chinese sales over 12 months amounted to 63,112 units. Against the 58.84 kW threshold the whole range stands above, with none of the 10 versions falling below it.
