Dongfeng Forthing Xinghai T5星海T5

The Xinghai T5 is a compact Dongfeng Forthing crossover, battery-electric in every version and built for the Chinese home market. Over 12 months 8,144 of them were sold there.

All four versions share the same running gear: a 120 kW motor, 163 hp, a single-speed reduction gear, a 64.4 kWh battery and a quoted range of 530 km. No combustion engine appears anywhere in the family, and what separates the versions is the price rather than the hardware, from 153,900 to 161,900 yuan.

The body measures 4,600 mm long, 1,860 mm wide and 1,680 mm tall, with 5 seats. The wheelbase is the one dimension that moves within the range, quoted as either 2,730 or 2,750 mm. The series has been built since 2026.

For electric cars the threshold falls at 58.84 kW, about 80 hp, and all 4 versions sit well above it, so on this point they do not differ from one another.
