Dongfeng Aeolus L7

The Aeolus L7 is a compact crossover from Dongfeng Aeolus sold in China in two energy forms, as a battery-electric car and as a plug-in hybrid. Sales on the domestic market over 12 months came to 37,166 units.

Output across the range runs from 113 to 160 kW, roughly 153 to 218 hp. Plug-in hybrid versions carry a 1,497 cc combustion engine and are rated to the China 6 emission standard, while the transmission is the same throughout: a single-speed reduction gear.

The battery is where versions diverge most, from 17 to 62.4 kWh, with a quoted range of 110 to 540 km. The body barely moves: length 4,670 to 4,685 mm, width 1,900 mm, height 1,610 to 1,625 mm, a wheelbase of 2,775 mm and five seats in every case. Factory prices start at 94,900 yuan and reach 224,500, and the series has been built since 2024.

By output the family splits unevenly: 11 versions out of 34 stay below the threshold and the remaining 23 sit above it. The badge alone therefore says little, and the kilowatt rating and battery size of the exact version are what to check.
