Deepal SL03

The Deepal SL03 is a mid-size sedan for the Chinese domestic market. One body serves the whole series while the hardware differs: some versions are fully electric, others are range-extender hybrids in which the combustion engine is given over to a generator.

The sedan has been in production since 2022, and the line-up has grown to 26 versions, which differ by powertrain and battery rather than by body.

Output runs from 160 to 190 kW, or 217 to 258 hp. Drive is to the rear wheels with the motor at the rear, and a single-speed reduction gear with a fixed ratio stands in for a gearbox. The combustion engine displaces 1480 cc, about 1.5 litres.

Batteries cover a broad band, from 19 to 80 kWh, and the claimed range moves with them, from 135 to 730 km. The body is 4820 mm long, 1890 mm wide and 1480 mm tall, on a wheelbase of 2900 mm, with 5 seats.

The span of factory prices across the line-up is unusually broad, from 119,900 to 699,900 yuan. The emission rating is China 6. Above the power threshold there are 25 versions. Sales over the past 12 months came to 8246 cars.
