Deepal S09

The Deepal S09 is a full-size SUV sold on the Chinese domestic market. The entire range uses a range-extender layout: electric motors drive the wheels, while the combustion engine serves as a generator and is not tied to the transmission.

The model has been in production since 2025 and comes in 10 versions. The cabin seats six, and the dimensions match the upper end of the market: 5205 mm long, 1996 mm wide, 1800 mm tall, with a wheelbase of 3105 mm.

Output ranges from 231 to 362 kW, or 314 to 492 hp. The range includes rear-wheel-drive versions with the motor at the rear as well as all-wheel-drive versions with two electric motors. There is no stepped gearbox; a single-speed reduction gear does the job.

One combustion engine serves the whole series, displacing 1497 cc, roughly 1.5 litres. Battery capacity runs from 40.2 to 53.5 kWh and the claimed range from 210 to 310 km.

Factory prices go from 239,900 to 309,900 yuan. The emission rating is China 6. All 10 versions sit above the 58.84 kW power threshold. Sales over the past 12 months came to 9455 cars.
