Chery QQ eQ1小蚂蚁

The eQ1 is a city microcar sold under the Chery QQ badge and built by Chery New Energy. It has been an electric-only line from the outset, with no combustion version in any trim, and it is aimed at buyers on the Chinese market.

The series has stayed in production since 2017 and has grown to 126 trims along the way, so the spread inside a single name is wider than the gap between neighbouring models elsewhere. Motors go from 30 kW, or 40 hp, up to 55 kW, or 74 hp; drive goes to the rear wheels through a single-speed reduction gear.

Batteries hold between 24 and 40.6 kWh and the quoted range covers 251 to 408 km. The four-seat body is very short: 3,200 to 3,242 mm long and 1,670 mm wide, with height between 1,550 and 1,590 mm and a wheelbase of 2,150 mm. The exterior has barely moved over the years, while the hardware and the stored energy have.

List prices run from 54,900 to 95,520 yuan, and 10,219 cars were sold in China over the past 12 months. Power matters here for a Russian buyer: the 58.84 kW mark used to sort electric cars lies above the whole line, so all 126 trims stay under it.
