Chery Arrizo 5艾瑞泽5

The Arrizo 5 is a compact sedan from Chery that has been on sale in China since 2016. Over the past 12 months the series accounted for 20,809 cars sold on that market.

The series is not tied to a single engine: displacement ranges from 1,498 to 1,598 cc, close to 1.5 and 1.6 litres, and output spreads wider still, from 66 to 115 kW, or roughly 90 to 156 hp. Transmission type is the same throughout — a CVT with 9 ratios — as are front-wheel drive and the China 6 emission rating.

Bodywork is common to the whole line: 4,572 mm long, 1,825 mm wide and 1,482 mm tall, on a wheelbase of 2,670 mm, with 5 seats. Differences inside the series run through the engine bay rather than the shell.

The factory price list contains 16 versions, from 59,900 to 85,800 yuan. The useful detail is where the range ends: even the strongest version, at 115 kW, falls short of the 117.68 kW mark, so all 16 versions sit below it.
