Chery Tiggo 3x瑞虎3x

The Tiggo 3x is Chery's compact crossover, part of the Chinese line-up since 2017. Over the past 12 months 13,521 cars from the series found buyers on the domestic market.

One powertrain covers the whole series: a 1,499 cc engine, close to 1.5 litres, rated at 85 kW, or about 116 hp. The transmission is a CVT throughout, listed in some versions as having 9 ratios. Drive goes to the front wheels, and the emission rating is China 6.

The body is short: 4,200 mm long, 1,760 mm wide and 1,570 mm tall, on a wheelbase of 2,555 mm, with seating for 5. Those figures do not change from one version to another.

What does change is the price list, unusually finely divided for a car with a single engine: 66 versions between 46,900 and 84,900 yuan. Since the engine, the drive layout and the transmission type are shared, the spread comes from elsewhere. In terms of output the entire range stays below the 117.68 kW mark, and nothing in it comes close.
